Mokena is a village in Will County Illinois with a population approximated at 20,300. The village is located 27 miles south-west of the Chicago Loop. Mokena is a name derived from a Native American language meaning "mud turtle". The village has an area of 8.89 square miles of land and 0.003 square miles of water. CrimeReports is a web-based software program that uses icons to identify crimes, such as burglary or disorderly conduct, and superimposes them on a Google map to show the general area where the incident occurred.
