Robbins is a village in Cook County that embraces advancement while respecting the rich heritage of the community with a population of approximately 5,337 people. The Village of Robbins is an Illinois municipality incorporated on December 14, 1917 and named for Eugene S. Robbins. The area was mostly farmland until 1910. Robbins has a total square footage of 1.45 miles of completely land. Robbins quickly transformed into a community driven village with a country atmosphere. Mayor Tyrone Ward currently serves as village president. Robbins is served by a station on Metra's Rock Island District commuter rail line. Robbins is served by two Pace bus routes, 359 Robbins/South Kedzie Avenue and 385 87th/111th/127th.
