Thornton is a Village in Cook County Illinois. With a population estimated at 2,500, the village is a tight-knit community and has a comforting home town feel. The Village is located twenty-six miles from Chicago and is home to one of the largest commercial limestone quarries in the world. Thornton village is made up of college graduates, skilled tradesmen, and Seniors who have been invested in the community for decades, adding immensely to the culture of the village. Inspection Information:
All residential rental housing must be registered with the Village. If you want to rent your property you must apply for a rental license, pay the fees and schedule an inspection.
The inspection is to determine if your rental property is safe to be occupied by occupants other than the owner. If the inspection finds that some corrections need to be made, an amount of time will be given to make those corrections.
